Dental Wellness Program:

Our pets need regular dental care just as we do. It is estimated that 85% of the dog population is in need of dental care. Research has shown that pets who receive regular dental cleanings on average live 3-4 years longer than pets who receive no dental care. Tooth decay is a significant source of pain in our pets and often goes undetected until a dental cleaning is performed. A thorough oral exam is performed by a veterinarian during every dental cleaning and helps detect and prevent problems in your pet’s mouth. In the months of February and October, we celebrate Dental Health Month. We offer discounts on dental services, dental counseling with our veterinarians, and fun goody bags for pets who receive dental cleanings. Help turn doggie breath into puppy kisses!

Adult Wellness Program:

Our annual Adult Wellness Program is tailored to meet the needs of our pets between the ages of 1-7 (1-6 in our giant/high risk breeds). Our pets on average age 7 years in one (1) of our human years. Realistically, however, we will likely see you and your pet for various issues 3-4 times a year. During the wellness visit, your veterinarian will perform a full physical exam, including an oral exam, on your pet. We will also perform a complete parasite check, including testing for intestinal parasites and heartworm disease, and tailor a vaccination program to your pet’s individual lifestyle. We prescribe necessary parasite protection such as strategic intestinal parasite deworming and heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. We make recommendations regarding home health care of your pet’s teeth and any necessary dental cleanings which can be scheduled right here in our office. Additionally, we offer nutritional and behavioral counseling to our clients. We perform junior wellness blood tests for many of our adult pets to monitor baseline values, offer peace of mind, and detect problems early as part of our effort to exercise preventative medical care. You will receive a full report card at the end of the visit detailing the findings of the exam, and it will include any recommendations made by your veterinarian. Our goal is to ensure that you and your pet get to live long and healthy lives together.

Senior Wellness Program:

Our Senior Wellness Program includes a visit with our veterinarian every six months (which is like your going to the doctor every 3.5 years) and is tailored to meet the needs of our pets 7 years and older (6 years and older for giant/at-risk breeds). During the wellness visit, your veterinarian will perform a complete physical exam, including an oral exam, on your pet. Depending on your pet’s needs, we will measure blood pressure and screen for Glaucoma. We will also perform a complete parasite check including testing for intestinal parasites and heartworm disease and tailor a vaccination program to your pet’s individual lifestyle. We prescribe necessary parasite protection such as strategic intestinal parasite deworming and heartworm, flea and tick prevention. We make recommendations regarding home health care of your pet’s teeth and any necessary dental cleanings which can be scheduled right here in our office. Our senior patients have baseline blood work performed every six months to help monitor baseline values, monitor chronic medical conditions, and detect onset of disease early, when treatment and prevention are most effective. You will receive a detailed report card at then end of your visit detailing the findings of the exam, and it will include any recommendations made by your veterinarian. Our goal is for you and your pet to fully enjoy every day of your life together for as long as possible.

Nutritional Wellness Programs:

Good and appropriate nutrition is the cornerstone of your pet’s life. Additionally, many diseases and chronic medical conditions can be managed with special prescription and non-prescription diets. We offer comprehensive nutritional counseling for your pet, and together with our Certified Veterinary Technicians, we will help develop a comprehensive monitoring program to ensure that the treatment of your pet’s condition is successful.

Senior Longevity Program:

We offer a special monitoring program for our senior/at-risk patients at reduced cost. This scheduled visit includes a detailed medical history and a thorough physical examination. Your veterinarian will order diagnostic testing to establish baseline laboratory data and screen for conditions such as anemia, inflammation, diabetes, infection, cancer, and diseases of the heart, intestines, kidneys, liver, pancreas, and the thyroid gland. We will perform a survey x-ray of both the chest and abdomen, perform a blood pressure measurement, screen for glaucoma, and obtain urine for a urinalysis. We are able to offer special pricing on this program because we schedule these appointments in advance and can anticipate staffing needs in advance.
